So during the Easter break my family and I went for a little holiday down in the Mornington Peninsula, about 2 - 3 hours south of Melbourne. We stayed in Dromana, a small town just before Rye and Sorrento, along the coast. It was awesome to get away from our daily routines and just relax without having to worry about anything.
We stayed in a small double story house, it was kind of like a duplex because it had living quarters and bathrooms on both floors. It was high up in the valley overlooking the ocean. My first honest thoughts about the house we’re “wow, it smells like a funeral home.” But after we cleaned it up a bit it got a little better, I thought “wow, it smells like a clean funeral home.”
We went to a heap of exciting places over the next 4 days. Seeing as we were in the heart of Victoria’s wine country, I tried a little bit of wine tasting. It gave me a chance to sharpen up my acting skills because they all, honestly, tasted the same. I kept saying all these different words like “texture”, “consistency” and “luscious” but they all tasted the same. They tasted like markers.
We went to a giant park which was famous for it’s gardens and mazes. We were all bummed that it was raining for most of the day, but we managed to make the most of it. There was a huge candy shop that stocked heaps of homemade candy and giant lollipops and it helped eased our frustration over the rain. The mazes were good too. A tad easy, but being there with your family made it much more fun. I felt like Harry Potter trying to get through the maze, and I told a dozen Harry Potter jokes that made me laugh hysterically. I even acted out someone getting dragged under the maze with the vines hahah Haters gon’ hate.
We went to a small local market that sold all handmade items. Nothing worth buying, but the food was awesome.
We also stopped at a little chocolate factory a few minutes drive in the opposite direction. All I was thinking was “Oompa Loopa Dumpa Dee Do, I got another puzzle for you” I was giddy with excitement. We arrived there and I searched frantically for the Oppa Loompas. All I got were old hags in hair nets. The chocolate was amazing though.
Wow it’s been a while. I haven’t been updating recently because…. well, I couldn’t be bothered haha. But now I got so much time on my hands I should be able to update a little more.
Starting off with my graduation.
So a few weeks ago I officially graduated from my uni course. I’m now a Bachelor of Design (Communication Design) graduate. So yeah, It awesome that I don’t have to worry about completing work in the evenings, or homework, or group projects oR LECTURES OR PUBLIC SPEAKING OR PRESENTATIONS OR CATCHING THE TRAIN!! RAAHHHHHH!! I LOVE LOVE IT!!!!
But now I’m starting to realise that I DO have too much free time on my hands. I have started to look for full time work, but because I’m not getting any responses back, I literally don’t do anything and just chill to kill time.
Since my education is over… there is nothing for me to look forward to anymore, no goals, nothing to strive for and complete… it’s a weird feeling.
I literally just exist.
But I do know that I should start to get my life together soon. I am looking for work in design or illustration and I would love to have a career that really displays my passion and love for the field. I’m slowly getting older and I should start think—
