It starts off like a normal teenage comedy, but viewers beware, it can get pretty violent and aggressive. The movie is about normal people, who want to be superheroes, even thought they have no superpowers. The plot is a bit linear with no real twist or anything, but the movie is non- stop fun and excitement all the way through.
Without a doubt, the standout is a little school girl. Actress Chloe Grace Morezt plays Hit-Girl, a foul-mouthed, gun-totting and all out brutal fighter. Without her, the movie wouldn’t be as awesome. She does some pretty crazy stuff and is probably the only reason why the movie got an MA rating here in Australia.
I’m not a huge fan of Nicholas Cage, but he really got into this character and he does a good job appealing to the audience. And of course I love Christopher Mintz-Plasse AKA McLovin. The way he talks just cracks me up all the time!
Great use of music too. It really sets the mood of the film and it is consistent the whole way through,
But yeah, this movie is awesome. There’s no other word to describe it.
Hmmmm… i’m not actually too sure of this movie. This is one of those movies that i went in, not really knowing too much about it. So i went in there with a clear head, pretty much expecting anything.
First thing i can say is that this movie can be pretty lame at times. I mean there are a few lines in this movie that just sort of make you squirm in your seats. I’m not that big of a fan for Greek mythology and to be honest, the whole thing is very cheesy to me. But there are a few things that make this movie very entertaining.
One of those is the action sequences. The scene with medusa is probably the highlight of the entire film. Everything about that scene was pure awesome. Medusa herself was hot, for a chick with snakes in her hair, and the whole this was thrilling and suspenseful. The action at the end of the film was also a feast for the eyes.
But the rest of the movie was very cheesy. The important dialogue scenes dragged on and can be boring for some viewers. ALSO, ALL THE ACTORS LOOKED THE SAME TO ME! i was like, WTH?! But yeah, if, like me, you get confused with people’s faces, really pay close attention in this one. All the male actors have this long hair thats tied up and they look, pretty much exactly the same. Also be prepared for some lame glowing effects (like Zeus’ armour *shiver*)
All in all, a movie for people looking for, well… a movie. Nothing too special but fun. Also peeps for the series Skins were in it, and it made me happy for a few seconds HAHA
